Central College of Oriental Medicine (CCOM) is the first Oriental Medicine graduate school in the state of Nebraska and provides high-quality education to graduate students who will earn their Master of Acupuncture or Master of Oriental Medicine degree.
The mission of CCOM is to educate students to become compassionate Oriental Medicine practitioners who incorporate the latest scientific findings into their patient treatment plans. It is of utmost importance at CCOM that students are engaged in evidence-based Oriental Medicine treatment. By training our students in a research-focused environment, we are equipping them with the tools necessary to provide exceptional and accurate treatment of the health needs of their patients.
In addition to education, CCOM’s adjunct long-term goal is exploring and advancing the scientific foundation of Oriental Medicine through investigation and peer-reviewed research. Our faculty base has extensive experience in performing scientific research (over 100 peer-reviewed publications), and they are passionate about using modern science to improve and promote the understanding of Oriental Medicine among members of the scientific and medical community.
