Dr. Yueshan Hu, MB, MMed, PhD, Dipl.OM (NCCAOM)
Founder & Professor, Central College of Oriental Medicine
Dr. Yueshan Hu was born and educated in China where he trained for eight years and received his Bachelors and Masters of Medicine (the equivalent of a US M.D.) from prestigious universities (Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine). He then completed his Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the United States at South Dakota State University. After receiving his Ph.D, Dr. Hu worked as a lead research scientist and published 24 scientific papers. He is certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology) by US National Certification Commission of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Currently, Dr. Hu holds his active license of acupuncture (Lic. Ac.).
Dr. Hu has extensive experience as a university lecturer and as an assistant professor. In addition to his professorship at Central College of Oriental Medicine, he is a currently a visiting professor at both Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (China) and Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (China). He is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of South Dakota and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at South Dakota State University.
Dr. Hu is also the founder and CEO of two successful Oriental Medicine businesses:
Evidence Based Oriental Medicine (EBOM) Clinics in Omaha, Nebraska and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and UFine Herbs located in Omaha, Nebraska.
